Pyoca Day Camp

Through a generous grant from Lilly Endowment, Pyoca Camp and Retreat Center is offering a brand new day camp for local Jackson County youth. In 2024 Pyoca is working with the Boys and Girls Club of Brownstown to welcome their club participants to spend a week in the outdoors.

Through outdoor adventures and exploring the natural surroundings of Pyoca and the Jackson-Washington State Forest, day camp will incorporate hands-on learning experiences that foster an appreciation for the environment and sustainability, creative activities that encourage self-expression and imagination, and activities focused on resilience, mental health, and personal development.

Day camp is open to campers ages 6 - 12. Campers will be split into two groups each week depending on their age (6 - 9 and 10 - 12), but will have plenty of opportunities throughout the week where everyone will be together. Parents/guardians will have the option to have their child picked up and dropped off at the Brownstown BGC each day of their camp session by Pyoca staff.
