OW

At Pyoca we are committed to developing future faith leaders and providing opportunities for our older youth to grow as mentors and leaders. While C.I.T. stands for counselor-in-training, this program is open to any high school camper ages 16 - 18 who feels called to develop their leadership skills and try out what it's like to be a camp counselor.

All C.I.T. campers will be required to attend a weekend of training immediately following Transform Camp, the weekend of June 21st - 23rd. This weekend is to provide time for fellowship, leadership development, and learning the ins and outs of running camp. C.I.T.s who will serve Week 2 Pyoca Programs will stay over the weekend and into the following week. Those serving during Week 4 will depart on Sunday morning.

C.I.T. campers will be under the guidance of the Assistant Program Director and summer staff unit coordinators. This program holds space for up to six (6) C.I.T.s each week.

Any high school graduate hoping to serve as a summer camp volunteer must be at least 19 years old to serve elementary - junior high camps, and at least 22 years old to volunteer with Transform Camp.

Ages: 16 - 18

Registration opens January 7, 2024. Folks registering for this program will register through our online portal and choose "Summer Camp 2024."

Because we value leadership development at Pyoca, as well as the hard work each C.I.T. gives back to camp each summer, C.I.T. training is available at no cost to high school campers. Families can choose their preferred tier for their C.I.T.'s full week at camp. To make the week accessible to all, the first tier is available at no cost to the camper. The second tier represents the food costs of a C.I.T. camper for a full week of camp, and the third tier represents the full per person cost of running the C.I.T. program.

C.I.T.s receive the same Pyoca experience regardless of payment tier. Tiered pricing is simply a way for families to choose what best works for them financially. Learn more about how to register for this program.
